    The successful achievement of learning can be helped byusing instructional media. Besides being able to convey information moreeasily, interesting media can motivate students to be more enthusiastic inlearning activities. Audio-visual media is a medium that communicates it'smessage can be received by hearing and sight, for example, the media film,voice slides, animation and computer-based multimedia. This study aims todetermine the increase in motivation, activity and learning outcomes ofstudents in class XI MIA 2 SMAN 1 Pekanbaru using classroom actionresearch conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetingswhich includes four stages of implementation, namely: planning, action,observation, and reflection. Data collection included questionnaire,obervation and tests. The results showed that the percentage of studentsincreased activity and achieving the success criteria. The percentage ofstudent activity in the first cycle of 61.18% with categorized well and thesecond cycle of 82.87% were categorized as excellent. Percentage oflearning outcomes is also seen from mastery learning that enhances andhave achieved success criteria. Motivation of student gained average of59,09 with high motivation criteria. The percentage of mastery learningstudents in the first cycle only reached 76.47%, which has not reached thecriteria of success, while in the second cycle students learning completenesspercentage of 100% has achieved succes criteria. Based on the resultsobtained, it can be concluded that the use of audio-visual media canenhance the activity and student learning outcomes

    Active learning strategy of arisan card to improve student learning achievement in class XI IPA SMAN 9 Pekanbaru has done. The research is a kind of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The samples of this research were the students of group XI IPA3 as the experimental group and students of group XI IPA1 as the control group. Experimental group is a group that is applied to active learning strategy of arisan card while the control group was not. Strategy of arisan card is a strategy that uses the principles of arisan, where there is a question card and an answer card . Cards are in the matter of the roll to be drawn and the card answers have been given to students in groups randomly. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on data analysis of data obtained tcount> ttable is 3,22>1.67, means that the application of active learning strategy of arisan card can improve student learning achievement on the topic of colloid in class XI IPA SMAN 9 Pekanbaru. The category improvement of student achievement at experiment group was high category with N-gain normalized is 0,80

    The aim of the research was application of active learning the firing line strategy has been done to know the increasing of student's learning achievement on oxidation reduction reaction topic in class X in 7 Senior High School Pekanbaru. This research was experiment by design pretest and posttest. The sample determined randomly after doing normality and homogeneity test of 7 classes as population and then class X5 choosed as experiment class and X2 as class group. The experiment group was applied by the application of active learning the firing line strategy. The data analysis technique used was t - test. Based on the data was obtained tcount>ttable was 2,28t ≥ 1,67, meant that the application of active learning the firing line strategy could increase the student's learning achievement on oxidation reduction reaction topic in class X in 7 Senior High School Pekanbaru. The Category of increasing the student's learning achievement trhough active learning the firing line strategy on the subject of oxidation reduction reaction is a high category with the N-Gain value was of 0,79

    The research about approach science, environment, technology and society (SETS) in SMA Negeri 1 Ujungbatu has done. The aim of this research is to improve student achievement on the subject of the atomic structure and elements of the periodic system in class X Senior High School 1 Ujungbatu. The research used an experimental method using randomized control group pretest-posttest design. The Sample consists of 2 classes, X2 as an experiment class (applied approach SETS) and X5 as the control class (without approach SETS). Data analysis technique used t-test. Based on test data analysis obtained tcount>ttable is 6,76>1,67, meaning that the use of approach SETS can increase student achievement on the subject of the atomic structure and elements of the periodic system in class X Senior High School 1 Ujungbatu. The increasing of student learning achievment category (N-Gain) is high 0.71

    The study on the use of LKS comic to improve student achievement on the subject of colloid in class XI IPA SMANegeri 1 Sungai Apit has done. It isa experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of two classes, XI IPA1 as an experiment class and XI IPA2 as a control class, which was randomly selected after tests of normality and homogeneity.Experiment class were treated with the use of LKS comics while not using LKS control class comic. Data analysis technique was used t-test. Based on the results of final processing data use t-test formula obtained tcount>ttable is 3,46>1,67, it means that the applying of question card media can improve student achievement on the subject of colloids in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Apit. The category improvement of student achievement in experiment class was high category with a score gain normalized is 0,73

This research was of experiment research with pretest-posttest design. The research was conducted in SMAN 14 Pekanbaru. The samples of this research were the students of class X.4 as the experimental class and students of class X.3 as the control class. In experimental class was applied cooperative learning model type pair exchange technique, while the control class was not. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on analysis of data obtained tcount>ttable is 6,41 > 1,67 means that the application of model cooperative learning type pair exchange can improve student achievement on the subject compounds nomenclature and chemical reaction equation of elements in class X SMAN 14 Pekanbaru increase learning achievement category in the experimental class is based on the normalized gain score (N-Gain) relatively high at 0,73
